Thinks are getting kinda hard. Not in the ‘grind you down’ or ‘beat you up’ sense, but life is just very, very full.

The big project at work is going into its critical phase and is the most mentally demanding thing I’ve ever been a part of. We’re constantly looking at houses, going to opens, occasionally making offers (and missing out). When I get home it’s usually cold and dark, which would be fine if there weren’t also boxes to pack for the move to Ballarat next week (not that Fee hasn’t been doing 99% of the packing), and a small window of time to play with Claire before her bedtime. Some time in there we eat and do whatever else needs to be done before bed.

I keep seeing other people being diligent and thinking ‘I’ve got to get back into a strict schedule’, but I realised today that I haven’t had the time to even update the blog to say that I haven’t been doing anything this week. Couple of rides to work and that’s it.

Food hasn’t been great. Breakfast is consistent but we’ve been running our supplies of fresh produce down because we won’t be transporting it … which means not so Paleo and very sloppy Zoning.

But… in spite of all of that, I can honestly say that life is great. It’s exciting, it’s inspiring, it’s definately challenging, but it’s very fully of love and exceptionally tallented people working exceptionally hard.

I’m going to miss my pullup bar in Ballarat, but where there’s a will there’s a way. Maybe once we’ve got the house situation bedded down there’ll be the mental and chronological space to really get organised.

The next big hurdle is making 2-plus hours of train commuting work on top of everything else.

Oh boy.
