Oh— Did I mention it was 40° today? Well it was. 40° that is.

And we have a new car. It’s nice. Lots of room for kettlebells and bikes and bike stuff and tents and tent stuff. And suuuuper comfy, warmed seats for returning feeling to frozen buns on the way home from winter races.

This just evolved as it went, which means intensity was lower than if I had’ve had it all jotted down and run through for time, but it wasn’t easy. The bear crawl in particular was harder than expected.

Just a play day. Dips and pull-ups at the local primary school while walking the dog. 16kg KB swings, snatches, 1H swings, flipping, pressing and bottoms-up pressing as well as box jumps on our new plyo boxes, handstands and general running around and foolin’ at Mick’s place after the big GF bbq.

So…
Holy. Frickin’. Crap. That was hard. Hands are mashed. Back destroyed. Will broken. That’s definitely one of the hardest, if not the hardest CF workout I’ve ever done. As someone in the comments said ‘Linda is the heaviest bitch in CF, and if you don’t treat her right she’ll sit on you.’ It just keeps going, and going, and going, and going. The temptation to get impatient and let form go towards the end is HUGE, but it’s a very, very bad idea. I dropped a few of the DLs when I started to round in the negative portion towards the end. There were few botched cleans along the way too. FGB is gonna suck tomorrow.

  1. Being a dad is awesome, although it makes you soft. I don’t like it at all when people get hurt in malicious violent crime on TV anymore. I especially don’t like how often really fucking brutal crimes against women are depicted on evening TV (CSI, NCIS, CM etc), like this is entertainment.
  2. We went for a walk around Benalla lake and stopped for a coffee at the art gallery, which was pretty damn nice.
  3. When we got home I took Oscar for a ‘run’, which is to say: we ran at an easy pace to the corner, then did walking-pace POSE practice for the rest of the 2-3km.
